Since all the authority comes from God (Rom 13.1), Parliamentarians carry spiritual as well as temporal authority. If with one accord in Christ, those who have this God given authority come together in the spirit with anointed intercessors who have networks of prayer supporters across the nation, prayer for Parliament and the Nation would have greater eternal value (Acts 1.14)
Through your prayers we can help to shape the decisions and attitudes of the Government. It can be done but it needs dedicated intercessors to achieve this. The prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective (James 5.16) but when there is unity, there is breakthrough. (Matt 18.19)
Scripture teaches us to ‘lift up our shield of faith’ in Ephesians 6:16 and the “Prayer Shield” offers vital information about the issues being debated in Parliament and that are of strategic importance to our Government and Nation. These matters require focused prayer if we are to change the United Kingdom and seek God’s will for this nation, and see healthy legislation put in place.
